Thanks for checking out our page! We are a husband and wife team providing musical instruction in the York County area. We have combined our passion for teaching to give you a very personal approach to learning your musical craft. First things first, have FUN! Playing or singing should be an enjoyable experience. Enjoyable experiences should lead to a lot of practicing! Yep, we believe in working hard at it too!

Amy Jones

Piano, Voice

I have over 25 years of experience in the music world. In high school and college, I had the benefit of being part of award-winning choral programs. While still in high school, I served as church pianist for 2 years. After studying child development at Erskine College, I settled in York County and began teaching private lessons and serving as an accompanist in local churches. In 2017, I founded A NewSong Studio, and shortly after, met my husband, Glenn. After our marriage in 2018, we joined forces to offer more than 7 different kinds of lessons. I have taught children as young as 3 years old, senior adults, and every age in between. I specialize in classical, church, and folk music, and teaching music appreciation and history to homeschool students. I have had the honor of preparing students for the Governor’s School of Music and to enter college as music majors. I love spending time with my family, and singing and making music with Glenn.

Glenn Jones

Guitar, Banjo, Ukulele, Baritone Ukulele, Mandolin

I began playing guitar when I was 14, but I can't remember a time when music wasn't a part of my life. Both my parents played and music was always accessible. I majored in Graphic Communications at Clemson, and have used that knowledge to create and sell musical charts for over 20 years (anewsongmusic.com). I played professionally for a country band for 12 years, where we performed in the southeast and toured twice to France. I managed a music retail store for several years before getting married to Amy in 2018. After marriage, we set off on this adventure to form A New Song Studio where I am teaching guitar, banjo, ukulele, baritone ukulele, and mandolin. I thoroughly enjoy seeing people succeed at music and my greatest joy is watching my students perform. I currently play music at church and various other pickup events with my wife Amy.
